Kyle Krueger

My name is Kyle Krueger and I’m an 8th grade geography teacher at Seven Hills Prep Academy! I was born and raised in Cumberland, Wisconsin. My parents have been married 40 years and are the reason I have been successful in all areas of my life. I have two amazing sisters who are married to amazing men and two nephews and a niece who have changed my world! I lived and taught in Houston eight years after getting my teaching degree from Winona State University (Minnesota). It was an incredible time in my life and now I’m so proud to be sharing Lighthouse Educator Development with you. After eight years in Houston I moved back to Wisconsin to make family a priority and. It has been such a blessing to be closer to my family while still pursuing my calling!.
I have grown so much as educator in the past couple years when I focused on developing myself as a person rather than strictly as a teacher.  After addressing my physical health I realized that other parts of my life needed to be developed as well. Finding audiobooks (I use Audible), rediscovering my love of reading, and getting rid of TV all helped me build myself from the inside out.
My development has taken time, hasn’t been easy, and is far from finished. However, I can say with absolute certainty that making myself a better person has made me a better teacher! You have gifts and talents that are waiting to be shared with your students and we want to support you as you explore those talents finding new ways to impact the lives of your student.
